Anchor Calculator
Calculate load distribution across multiple anchor points at different angles. See how angle affects the force on each anchor.
Angle between the two anchor legs
Expected force on the anchor system
How We Calculate This
This calculator uses vector force analysis to determine the load on each anchor point based on the angle between anchor legs.
Load distribution formula
Load per anchor = Total load / (2 x cos(angle/2))
Angle effects
- 0 degrees: Each anchor bears 50% of load
- 60 degrees: Each anchor bears 58% of load
- 90 degrees: Each anchor bears 71% of load
- 120 degrees: Each anchor bears 100% of load
- >120 degrees: Forces exceed the load (dangerous!)
