Cloud Base Formula
Cloud base (m AGL) = (Temperature - Dew point) x 125
Cloud base (m ASL) = Cloud base AGL + Station altitude
The temperature decreases at ~1°C per 125m of altitude while the dew point decreases slower. Where they meet, clouds form.
